How to care for your feet at home between visits

Our feet take us everywhere, and we usually only think about them when they hurt. With a few simple habits they stay in good shape for much longer.

Moisturise them daily

A dedicated foot cream, especially on the heels, helps prevent hard skin and cracks. Avoid applying it between the toes.

Cut your nails straight across

This reduces the risk of ingrown nails. If you find them hard to cut or they're thick, it's best to have a professional do it.

Choose your footwear carefully

Shoes that let you move your toes and don't rub. Alternate pairs so they can air out.

Dry them well

Especially between the toes, after a shower or a swim.

When should you ask for help?

If you have pain, a wound that won't heal or changes in your skin or nails, see a podiatrist. For maintenance and hard skin, at Tana we offer a foot care service.
